*Thank you, thank you, thank you Pelham!! Nobody does community spirit and support like you do!*
*We are officially full – thank you again for your interest and participation.*
Four local photographers ( Liz Farrell, Jelena Mileno and Lori Carlton and yours truly) and our Junior League of Pelham behind-the-scenes organizational wizards Jill Kirby and Stacy Gatto have teamed up to bring you — ta da! — The Pelham Front Stoop Project. We’d like to memorialize this crazy time and raise money for the Pelham Cares: Neighbor to Neighbor Campaign, which supports our local businesses while feeding our frontline workers. We will do our best to photograph as many families as possible within two weeks of getting started.
We’ve only got a few spaces left! Here’s what to do if you want one:
- Find a window that works for you and grab a spot. They’re organized by neighborhood, but with only a few openings left, you can feel free to sign up for ANY open slot on any of the four lists. (Pelham residents only – sorry!) ONLY sign up if you’ll be ready to show up on your stoop with your family at a moment’s notice during that window.
- Fill out the form below if you haven’t already. (This is important! If you don’t do this, we won’t be able to find you).
- During the agreed-upon window of time, one of our Pelham Front Stoop Project photographers will text you that they’re on their way and will beep the horn from outside upon arrival. Come to your front door with your family and enjoy some front stoop togetherness while a Pelham Front Stoop Photographer takes your family photo. We will be taking images outside ONLY and from at least 10 feet away. Our session will be brief — about 2-5 minutes, tops.
- After your quick session, we will send you one digital file of your family photo. In exchange, we’re asking you to make a good faith donation to Pelham Cares. The direct donation link is HERE (If you’re having trouble with the link, please try a different browser, of you can venmo @JL-Pelham with a note that your donation is for the Pelham Front Stoop Project).
By the way, you don’t have to dress up – please don’t! Just show up on your stoop with your people. Take a couple of breaths of fresh air and think about how lucky we are to live in this special town together.
We will be posting these images on Instagram and Facebook using the hashtag #PelhamFrontStoopProject and #thefrontstepsproject. Please share these posts. Let’s spread the word!
